Our Thanksgiving Home

So which side are you on?

Do you celebrate fall for the whole season or is it cut short by a Christmas tree in November? We have a very dear tradition of hosting Thanksgiving and then cutting down a Christmas tree on Black Friday to celebrate the first day of Christmas. So between Halloween and Black Friday, our house screams cozy autumn. Lots of pumpkins, mums, dried corn, and fall leaves. Don’t let anyone tell you that there’s no such thing as Thanksgiving decor — there sure is! Just check out the cute turkey I found below!

Something I’ve wanted to try for so long is buying a bunch of corn stalks and wrapping the tree with them! Lucky for me, the world moves on to Christmas so fast so all of the fall things go on a massive sale Nov. 1st LOL. So I found corn stalks at Ace Hardware for next to nothing!

I wrapped the tree with them using fishing line and also decided to add some to the mailbox and even the garden! I can’t get over how cute the garden looks in the fall.
