Living Room Re/Design

So you may have seen on my Instagram but I’m feeling a bit of clarity towards how I want my living room to feel. You know me and my eagerness to completely change our home’s aesthetic each season. Well that’s kind of hard when I have a very specific aesthetic concreted into our current design.

I’m excited about the idea of swapping all of our base furniture towards more neutral classic pieces that allow my flex items (like pillows, blankets, florals, etc) do all of the seasonal talking. Does that make sense? Basically I really want to swap our sofa and rug to more classic/neutral styles. And then in the spring I could have pastel floral pillows and in the fall I can have moody/vintage pillows and neither will clash with the things I can’t change often.

So I made a fun moodboard using some pieces I would love to purchase for our base items and then swapped them around with flex items, including the frame tv art! So fun. I cannot wait to get this going whenever the time is right! Especially the new light fixture. I can’t even imagine how new this room will feel when we finally get rid of the dated ceiling fan!
