DIY Dancing Ghosts

DIY

I was the most excited about this DIY!! I saw this adorable photo of them on pinterest and I had to recreate it. I decided to have them dancing around the tree and put a nice purple glow coming from the tree. They look absolutely adorable at night and I can’t stop staring at them through the window hahaha.

Things you need —

  • Bamboo stakes or rebar

  • 7-8” foam balls

  • 84” white table clothes

  • Drill

  • Silicone

  • Safety pins

  • Staple gun

  • Purple lights

  1. We started by giving the bamboo stakes a sharp tip so they’re easier to get into the ground. If you think you’ll have a lot of wind, I would suggest using rebar to keep them secure!

  2. Then we used the drill to pre-drill a hole into each foam ball and filled the hole with a glob of silicone before quickly inserting the stake.

4. Then we covered each ball with a table cloth and placed them in a circle around the tree — we knew we may need to move them around a bit to get them even so keep that in mind!

5. We tried to get the tablecloths perfectly center and then added a couple of staples into the top of the ball to keep them in place.

6. Then we started to connect the ends of the tableclothes with the “neighbor” so they appeared to be holding hands. This is when we had to move some around to get the hands to look even all the way around.

7. Once everything was in the right spot and the hands we’re attached. We went back with the staple gun and added a few more staples around the head so there was a nice “head” shape to them even with a little wind.
